The Town council has a budget of £45,000 for 2016-17 to distribute grants to Community groups, Charities and Local Organisations.
It welcomes grant applications and its aim is to ensure that public funds are used to benefit the residents of the community of Burnham and Highbridge.
The Policy and Finance Committee consider grant applications for recommendation to Full Council.
How do I apply?
Application forms may be downloaded from this page Grant application 2017-18.pdf or obtained from the Town Council’s office during office hours. Please read the Town Council’s Policy on who can apply and how the application will be assessed before completing the application form.
Completed applications must be received 7 working days before the next Policy and Finance Committee meeting. They need to be printed out and completed as they must be signed, and include all the other grant information required, therefore need to be either sent in the post or delivered by hand.

What happens next, if your application is successful?
The Clerk will write to you within 7 days of the full Town Council meeting to confirm that grant has been approved, to confirm the amount agreed and any specific conditions that may have been applied.
Cheques will only be made payable to the organisation’s bank account – not an individual.
Burnham and Highbridge Town Council reserves the right to reclaim the Grant in the event of it not being used for the purposes specified on the application form.
